Accountabilities

Reporting to the HRBP and I&D Lead, you will:

- Support HR Activities: Assist HR Business Partners with day-to-day HR activities in assigned business areas/functions, helping with the implementation of people plans aligned to business objectives in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Operational HR Support: Get involved in HR processes such as recruitment activities, onboarding queries, compensation and benefits administrative tasks, and coordination with the T&D team.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with managers and staff, helping to understand business requirements, and providing timely support on HR procedures and processes.
- HR Policy Application: Serve as a first point of contact for general HR policy issues and queries, escalating complex matters to senior HRBPs as needed.
- Employee Experience: Support employee engagement initiatives and help with the execution of cultural change projects, showing resilience and adaptability as the organization grows and transforms.
- Project Support: Participate in HR-related projects under guidance, learning to manage aspects of performance management, reward, and organizational development.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure HR activities comply with AstraZeneca’s values, Code of Conduct, internal procedures, and Italian employment legislation.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Work Experience: Approximately 2 years' experience in a Human Resources department, ideally in an HR Assistant, HR Generalist, or Coordinator role.
- HR Knowledge: Basic understanding of key HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent both in written and spoken English and Italian.
- Digital Skills: Strong digital mindset, confident and proactive in adopting and utilizing digital HR systems and tools, including emerging AI technologies relevant to HR (e.g., HR analytics, chatbots, automation platforms).
- Change Agility: Demonstrated willingness and ability to embrace and adapt to a dynamic, fast-changing environment, remaining flexible and resilient during transitions.
- Learning agility

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Human Resources or related field.
- Organizational Background: Experience in complex organizations, with matrix structures or international scope, is considered a plus.
- Relevant Sectors: Previous exposure or work experience in one or more of the following industries is highly valued: Pharma/Life Science, Oil & Gas, Automotive, FMCG, Chemicals.
